This 2019 cuvée, with its pearly hue and sandy-gold tints, is characterised by its elegance. The saline, expressive and delicate nose exudes notes of citrus fruit, mango and sweet spices. The wine is fresh and fruity on entry to the palate before revealing an ample, silky-smooth structure with notes of nectarine, candied citrus fruit and blackcurrant buds. The finish is succulent and lively with flavours of white stone fruit and lemon zest.

All Mediterranean cuisine – particularly carpaccio and tartars.

The wine has fruity aromas of wild red berries, followed by floral notes, and the sugary and spicy fragrance of zest; and the aromas of dried fruit and cocoa result from the wine’s vinifying in oak tuns. Rich and full-bodied, the Rosé Vintage exalts the maturity of the fruit. A sparkling wine with an initial impression of freshness, it opens smoothly with almost exotic notes, combined with the pure minerality of the Chardonnay grapes.

  • The attack reveals an aromatic intensity with a remarkable fullness and the smooth, sweet flavours of white flowers, red fruits, caramel, and Tarte Tatin. The full, round, and refined texture in the initial attack, which is characteristic of the Louis Roederer Champagne House, is complemented by a winey—though not full-bodied—structure and a remarkable freshness, giving an impression of great finesse and strengthening the wine’s precision.

Following vinification courses in California and Oregon, Cyril joined his parents (Marie-Françoise & Charles) at the family estate in the early 2000s. Thus, the fifth generation enriched the know-how with an international vision. The Charles Audoin estate covers 15 hectares, including 14 hectares in the Marsannay appellation. These come in…

  • Mumm Cordon Rosé has intense fruit aromas – fresh strawberries,
cherries and redcurrants – with a swirling undercurrent
of vanilla and caramel. Lively, energetic and perfectly dry in the attack, revealing hints
of summer fruits yet with an unexpected arrow of precision
running right through to the long savoury finish.

Around 15% of the blend is in fact still red wine from the best Pinots Noirs of the Montagne de Reims, giving this cuvee its unique colour and its sweet intense taste. The high proportion of Chardonnay (30 %) completes the blend and creates the elegance and sophistication expected from a champagne by Taittinger. The nose is strong and expressive, characterised by the aroma of freshly crushed wild strawberries, cherries and blackcurrants. The addition of its delicate bubbles brings four words to mind: vibrancy, fruitiness, freshness and acidity – characteristics which only a great rosé blend can offer.

  • In 1810, Madame Clicquot invented the first Vintage Champagne, in 2012 Veuve Clicquot declared the 66th vintage of the Maison. With grapes exclusively from Grands and Premiers Crus, Pinot Noir dominates the blend (51%) and provides the structure that is so typically Clicquot, followed by Chardonnay (34%) that adds finesse and elegance essential in a perfectly balanced wine, and then Meunier (15%) that rounds out the blend. The Vintage Rosé 2012 blend is elaborated with 13% red still wine, exclusively from the Pinot Noir of Bouzy. The uniqueness of the Vintage Rosé 2012 lies in the addition of 11% of wines aged in large wooden casks (foudres), bringing strength and aromatic intensity. The cask-aged wines act as spices to the blend, bringing very lightly woody, vanilla and toasted aromas.

  • The coppery champagne, the burst of red fruit aromas…to achieve it, the blend is an essential element, a creative act. The Cellar Master and his team of experts select excellent quality red wines and still wines from some of the most sought-after vineyards in Champagne to find the flavors and characteristics that perfectly express the Veuve Clicquot Rosé style.
Made using 50 to 60 different crus, and 30 to 45% of Reserve wines, the cuvée is based on Yellow Label’s traditional blend: the Pinot Noir predominance (50-55%) provides the structure that is so typically Veuve Clicquot, while Chardonnay (28-33%) adds the elegance and finesse essential in a perfectly balanced wine, and a touch of Meunier (15-20%) rounds out the blend.
The blend is then completed with 12% of still red wine using red grapes, providing fruitiness. The long period of aging in our Crayères (3 years minimum for Rosé) lends silkiness to the Champagne.

La Grande Dame Rosé 2008 offers a beautiful pink gold with light copper hues.
It is full-bodied and smooth, then becomes refined with fresh aromas. The Pinot Noir’s generosity resonates beautifully after a slow and long aging in the Veuve Clicquot cellars. The wine shows powerful notes of red fruits (raspberry and strawberry), combined with citrus notes (blood orange, grapefruit), and finally holds a perfect balance between subtle and spicy with notes of red berries, rooibos tea and fine leather.
