The only Grand Cru white wine of Côte de Nuits… It is its famous red clay soil less calcareous than in its neighbours that gives the Musigny wines their legendary elegance. The Comte Georges de Vogüé estate has 7.2 hectares of the 10.77 hectares of the grand cru. As authorized by the decree of the appellation, he cultivates on 0.66 hectares chardonnay to produce the mythical white Musigny. He is thus the only producer of the only grand cru blanc de côte de Nuits. White musigny is a unique chardonnay, which is like no other. It has the material and concentration of the great whites of Beaune and the mineral power of the great windfalls. An absolute myth.
The Chambolle-Musigny Villages is produced from a tiny parcel of vines in the southwest portion of the commune and also includes some declassified 1er Cru fruit from Les Baudes and Fuées. From the excellent 2018 vintage, this is surprisingly fruit-laden, juicy and fresh yet has classical Vogüé firmness and youthful rusticity to the finish.

94-96pts – the 2018 Montrachet Grand Cru was showing brilliantly, soaring from the glass with aromas of vine blossom, pear, golden orchard fruit and warm bread. Full-bodied, multidimensional and layered, it’s concentrated and complete, with a sumptuous core of concentrated fruit and a precise, elegantly fragrant finish .The wine advocate

92pts – A fine effort, the 2018 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Clavoillon wafts from the glass with notes of white flowers, crisp yellow orchard fruit, fresh pastry and blanched almonds. Medium to full-bodied, bright and precise, it’s elegant and fine-boned, with—as I observed last year—none of the blockiness of yesteryear’s Clavoillon. The wine advocate
