A rather intense black colour. The nose is powerful, concentrated, fruity and woody. The attack is strong and tannic. The tannins are firm, but well incorporated by the smoothness. This is a fine wine for cellaring.

Will match very well with Game, Mature Cheeses…

This Corton-Charlemagne has a beautiful golden color. Its power of aromas is remarkable. Its specificity is characterized by flavors of cinnamon, fresh walnut, pepper, exotic fruits, amber. Elephant London Dry Gin is a handcrafted premium gin of 45% ABV that captures the spirit of Africa. Its innovative blend of 14 botanicals combines rare African ingredients with fresh apples that make Elephant Gin distinct from any other. Each bottle is custom-made and embossed with a crest in the shape of the typical tribal shield.

Elephant Sloe Gin combines the premium London Dry Gin with the classic flavour of wild fresh sloe berries. The fruit is harvested by hand and carefully selected; keeping only the best berries for the sloe gin production. Elephant Sloe Gin is strictly limited to one vintage a year. Macerated in the gin for several months, these wild berries provide their typical flavour and warm red colour to the spirit.

Compared to other sloe gins, it has a relatively low sugar content paired with a higher alcohol volume of 35% ABV. This makes it ideally suited to mixing in cocktails as well as enjoying it neat.

A richly rounded, lightly sweet and exquisitely fruity bouquet as well as a typical warm red colour to the spirit. The deliberately discreet addition of sugar triggers a perfect balance between tart and sweet notes; without the need for additional artificial flavours.

  • Elephant Strength Gin is our take on a so-called “navy strength,” whose origin comes from the Royal English Navy and putting a gin to test by lighting it with gunpowder. If the gin had at least 57% ABV, then it surely survived the test and was proclaimed of navy strength.

Elephant Strength is based on the award-winning Elephant London Dry Gin and with its 57% ABV, it is stronger and richer than the original. The Strength encompasses twice the quantity of botanicals and a focus on the extraordinary African buchu, sweet orange peel and herbaceous mountain pine. It is a gentle giant!

    Taste and Aromas
The gin is powerful (think elephant-powerful), intense and full-bodied, with a fresh aroma and a higher viscosity than the original; superb in cocktails, it’s equally perfect for recreating the African bush Sundowner experience and for bold adventures across urban plains.

Here the admirably pure nose presents even more elegant and complex aromas of cool red berries, earth and a hint of humus that are trimmed in a touch of wood. The suave and notably rich medium-bodied flavors possess a seductive texture before terminating in a beautifully long and delicious finale. This too is good stuff. 89-92 points Allen Meadows

This unique, ultra-premium French Gin has established a new standard in the super premium spirits category. Its proprietors, Jean Sibastien Robicquet and Bruno de Reilhac, are lead oenologists and master distillers of EuroWineGate in the French region of Cognac. The two men broke away from traditional Juniper-based London dry and combined style and complexity to create a new type of contemporary gin which is creating new standards.  They have achieved this through the introduction of the rare green grape flower as the base of the G’Vine using ancestral grape distillation techniques and infusion practices.

The 2012 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Goulots offers a sensual bouquet with dried rose petals and pot pourri infusing the pure and heady redcurrant and fresh strawberry fruit aromas. The palate is very harmonious with good concentration, demonstrating a little more weight and presence than the Cherbaudes, building gently to a convincing, lightly spiced finish. Glenmorangie 18 Year Old single malt whisky is a treat. Aged for 15 years in American white oak caks perviously used to age Bourbon, 30% is drawn off to be matured in Oloroso sherry casks where it spends the next years relaxing. Reunited after 18 years, the two whiskies are blended together to give a really think, creamy and fruity single malt. Showing tangy citrus, stewed fruit and pannacotta on the nose, it really draws you in. The palate is delightfully tropical: canned peaches and nectarines mingle with butterscotch and acacia honey. Sweet dark sugar appears on the finish alongside a hit of oak and grapefruit. Fantastic.

Glenmorangie Allta is the first Glenmorangie created from the yeast which grows wild on our own Cadboll barley. This rich, fruity single malt was inspired as Dr Bill Lumsden walked the fields near the Distillery, gathering precious samples of grain. Discovering that the barley nurtured a species of wild yeast unidentified before then, he set out to bring the two together in the making of a creamy and aromatic whisky. Aged in bourbon barrels, including many second-fill casks to showcase the spirit’s fruity character, Glenmorangie Allta (Scots Gaelic for ‘wild’ and pronounced ‘al-ta’) reveals the importance of yeast to the myriad flavours found in Scotch whisky and opens up compelling possibilities for the future.

A wonderfully complex, easy-drinking whisky. Multi-award-winning and always intriguing Private Edition, Glenmorangie Bacalta brings new heights of complexity to a rare wood finish. Inspired by the long, balmy days on the island of Madeira, Glenmorangie Bacalta (Scots Gaelic for “baked”) is a sun-soaked single malt which delivers wonderfully warm layers of sweetness, brimming with baked fruits and honeyed tones. It has been created from Glenmorangie first matured in former bourbon casks, then extra-matured in bespoke casks baked under the sun which once contained Malmsey Madeira – the sweetest and most prized of the Madeira wines.

Glenmorangie Spìos is the first Glenmorangie ever to be fully matured in American ex-rye whiskey casks. Full-bodied and savoury, its innovative character was inspired by the bygone elegance of America’s golden whiskey era, when American rye whiskey was fêted in the country’s most prestigious saloons. Glenmorangie Spìos (Scots Gaelic for ‘spice’ and pronounced spee-oss) recalls the spirit’s elegant past, inviting rye’s rare notes of cinnamon and clove to shine through in the Highland Distillery’s uniquely smooth spirit, for a single malt whisky of sophistication and subtle spice.

The 6th release from Glenmorangie’s award-winning Private Edition, Tùsail is the product of a carefully-selected parcel of Maris Otter barley, floor-malted by hand using traditional techniques, and non chill-filtered.

A rich winter variety of barley first introduced in 1965, Maris Otter was bred specifically to meet the demand for a high quality brewing malt and recognized for its ability to impart rich, rustic malty flavours. Now used only by a select few who continue, like Glenmorangie, to uphold an ethos of sacrificing yield for quality by using only the finest ingredients, the result is a whisky celebrating the variety’s renowned taste profile.

The ‘original’ sets a high standard for Highland whisky. The flagship of the Glenmorangie range is realised only after a decade in American Mountain Oak casks from where the unique flavour of Glenmorangie is fully developed. This really is a classic malt, so creamy and fruity.
